TACC provides two Certified Residential Facilities in Jackson – the Jones Home and the Arc Home. Homes provide opportunities for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities to achieve maximum potential in a home environment.

The group home should also work to equip residents with the skills necessary to move into an even more independent living arrangement. Each resident is encouraged to establish their own daily routine, provided options concerning meals, leisure activities, and opportunities to participate in community activities individually and with others in accordance with their personal preferences. The group home environment is such that the resident is comfortable inviting friends and family, and he/she is given opportunities for privacy during their visit.

TACC staff ensure the rights of the residents are respected. Group home residents also receive individualized training on a regular basis. The person, in consultation with their support team, determines his/her training goals. The residents of the group home live in the home seven days a week, twenty-four hours a day (except for time spent in a training program or employment). Staff are scheduled to allow for appropriate support as determined by the person and his/her support team, ensure safety, and depend on the activities planned by the people being served. TACC will ensure the residential settings, inside and out, are consistent with those of other homes in the neighborhood. Residential services may also be provided either in the person’s residence or in an ADMH certified community setting.
