The Arc of Clarke County’s Day services programs are offered in Jackson and Thomasville, the service provides a variety of learning and social opportunities.
The program focuses on ensuring that the participants have a rewarding and meaningful daytime in their community. The program encourages community integration to cultivate community connections. Activities include typical adult education classes such as culinary, money management, exercise/health education, visual arts/painting, enhanced communication techniques, community access, prevocational skills, computer training, social media, and a variety of other activities. In addition, the programs promote self-advocacy and leadership development.
The program is provided Monday – Friday, except for holidays, and at least five hours a day. Staff are scheduled to allow for appropriate support as determined by the person and his/her support team, ensure safety, and depend on the activities planned by the people being served.
