Junior Council

The Arc of Clarke County Junior Council is a group of high school students committed to promoting the vision of The Arc of Clarke County by becoming leaders in the organization through effective community action, including volunteer service and social fundraising. The Junior Council plans their own meetings and discusses ways to build awareness for people with developmental disabilities in their community. Applications were submitted and members meeting specific criteria were eligible for membership.

The Junior Council received training led by Bridgett Shewmake McLean, TACC Community Life Coordinator. Bridgett facilitated team building activities, introduced the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People as part of leadership training, and also provided disability awareness training.
